Creating Change
Marin ALMA is helping to create positive change in the community. When 54 million Latinos live in the United States, it’s time for the community to find better representation. Less than 5% of the nearly 45,000 elected officials in federal, state and local governments nationwide are Latino. Several majority–Latino counties have no Latino representation at any level. By closing the leadership gap, we can help change the face of this country’s politics for real policy change.
Helping Young Attorneys Through Mentorship
Marin ALMA is focussed on helping our local community build strong young people through law school mentorship programs and by making endorsements. The ALMA endorsement committee evaluates candidates and makes recommendations for judicial and other appropriate positions in the community. ALMA also nominates and supports members of the community for leadership positions.
